CarbonBuilt's Carbon XPrize-winning technology enables the production of ultra low-carbon concrete products, driving gigatonne-scale greenhouse gas reductions through the cost-effective mineralization of carbon dioxide. Their revolutionary approach reduces overall carbon dioxide emissions by 70-100%+, with no compromise on price, performance, or plant operations.

CarbonBuilt has produced over 10,000 concrete blocks using a full-scale curing chamber and flue gas COâ‚‚ sourced directly from a coal power plant in Wyoming.

 

They have worked with Blair Block in the commercial production of the world's first ultra-low carbon concrete blocks in Alabama. The blocks will be employed by C&C Masonry in various municipal projects across Alabama. 

 

Production is starting at the Flagstaff masonry facility in 2024.
